The servers there were really happy to help me for placing orders. However, the foods were below the expectations. ❌Lamb skewers were really hard to chew, no cumin taste. They tasted like premade for a while and then fried again for serve. ❌northern rainbow glass noodles was really bland and sour, I can’t taste any sesame sauce or salt, sugar besides vinegar. The amount of cilantro and garlic was so little, it’s a 20 bucks dish, it should come with more sauce(like chili oil or sesame sauce at least) ❓NorthEastern guo bao pork is ok, just too sweet, and the portion is so little compared to the price, it’s not even half of the container. ✅Typhoon shelter fish slices was good, big portion, and the fish slices were fried freshly. ✅Braised noodles with green bean and pork was the best dish, big portion and it’s really flavorful ✅ Trio platte is another dish I would recommend, pork elbow is the best taste item. And for 17 bucks you can taste 3 different kinds of items

Easily one of the worst Chinese restaurants I’ve been to in the Champaign-Urbana area. One star for the food, one for the service, and one for the environment—honestly, I wish I could give zero. Food: The food was simply inedible. The braised fish had such a strong fishy, almost foul smell that even the heavy seasoning couldn’t cover it. We barely touched the dishes and ended up leaving hungry. Service: When we mentioned that the fish tasted and smelled very fishy, the owner’s attitude was extremely rude. Her response was essentially, “If fish isn’t fishy, then it’s not fish.” That was not exactly the kind of response you expect when a customer is genuinely having a problem with the food. Environment: The restaurant looks like it hasn’t been renovated in decades. It was dark and gloomy, and the carpet looked dirty and badly in need of replacement. I’ve been to quite a few Chinese restaurants in Champaign-Urbana, and this was easily one of the worst experiences I’ve had. I wouldn’t come back even if the meal were free.

Decent Chinese food. I really enjoyed the egg rolls. The fried tofu was very lightly fried, but the food still tasted good overall. They aren't lying about the spice level. I was glad they put the sauce in a separate container, because it was extremely spicy, but still delicious.

Very tasty, very authentic. I wish the cucumber salad had been colder--it would have felt more refreshing! The mapo tofu was decently numbing and the eggplant was perfectly crispy (yet very saucy!). Very generous portions for great prices.

Been to this restaurant thrice for dinner in the last 6 months and the food has been consistently good. Portion sizes are bigger compared to other Chinese restaurants in the area for a similar price. This is a good spot for groups to order family style and share dishes. Vegetable dishes may contain some meat, but it will be served to you without any meat if requested. Spice levels (for dishes marked spicy) were not high for us. The service was friendly. There's a free parking lot in front of the restaurant.
